Terms of Service

By accessing or using FaithMode (the "Service"), including joining our waitlist, downloading our mobile application, or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and FaithMode ("we," "us," or "our"). We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

FaithMode is a mobile application designed to support your prayer life. The Service includes:

• Scheduling daily prayer windows
• Blocking access to selected applications (including social media) during scheduled prayer times using Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls framework
• AI-assisted and scripture-backed guided prayers personalised to your mood, denomination, and spiritual goals
• A prayer journal for recording and reviewing completed prayers
• Insights and progress tracking including streaks, mood trends, and spiritual growth metrics

The Service is currently in pre-launch. Features described herein may change before or after public release.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

By using the Service, you represent that you meet all eligibility requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

When you join our waitlist or create an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to the Service upon launch. We reserve the right to manage waitlist access at our sole discretion.

Certain features require a paid subscription ("Premium"). The following terms apply:

• Billing. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Apple's App Store. All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; no refund is issued for the unused portion.
• Free Trials. If a free trial is offered, you will be charged the applicable fee at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
• Price Changes. We may change subscription prices with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
• Charitable Contribution. We donate 10% of subscription revenue to churches or charitable organisations of our choosing. This donation is made by FaithMode and does not entitle you to a tax deduction.

FaithMode's core functionality requires access to Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls framework. By granting this permission, you authorise us to:

• Block access to selected applications during your scheduled prayer windows
• Restore access upon completion of your prayer session or expiry of the scheduled window
• Track aggregate usage data related to your prayer sessions

You may revoke this permission at any time in your device's Settings. Revoking permission disables app-blocking functionality. We do not use Screen Time access for any purpose beyond those described above and do not share this data with third parties.

You may submit content through the Service including prayer journal entries, mood check-ins, and personal spiritual goals ("User Content"). You retain all ownership rights in your User Content.

By submitting User Content, you grant FaithMode a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display it solely to provide the Service to you. We do not sell, share, or use your User Content to train AI models without your explicit consent.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Access or tamper with non-public areas of the Service or our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Attempt to circumvent app-blocking functionality in a manner not provided by the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity

The Service — including all software, content, graphics, designs, and trademarks — is owned by FaithMode and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP rights to you.

The Service may integrate with or rely upon third-party services including Apple's App Store, payment infrastructure, notification services, and analytics providers. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for any third-party service provider.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. FAITHMODE IS A SPIRITUAL WELLNESS TOOL AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PASTORAL COUNSELLING, MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, OR RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FAITHMODE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS OR (B) $50 USD.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FaithMode and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Disputes shall first be attempted through good-faith negotiation, then by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's rules. Either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections 7–14 survive termination.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice within the Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
